About Us
The Pennington County Humane Society is a non-profit organization that promotes respect for animal life, works to prevent animal homelessness and abuse and provides community education regarding the humane and ethical treatment of animals.

It is the policy of the society to promote humane care and treatment for all animals needing protection; to seek to return lost animals to their owners; and to seek suitable homes for animals without owners.

Founded in November of 1997, the PCHS is a non-profit organization supported entirely by individual contributions. Since that time, a small, but enthusiastic core group has worked hard to assist animals in need in this area. We are dedicated to serving the animals and people in our community. We provide shelter, food and medical care for unwanted, abused and neglected animals. We place animals into humane environments.
